Soccer Game Preview: Waterford vs. Delhi

The Waterford Wildcats will head out to challenge the Delhi Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Waterford is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Mariposa County 5-2 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their 15-game losing streak.

Melanie Mandujano and Natalie Sanchez scored all five of Waterford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Delhi sidestepped Le Grand for a 3-2 victory.

Delhi's record now sits at 8-6-1. As for Waterford, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.

Waterford suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Delhi when the teams last played on January 9th. Can Waterford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
