Greely faced Mount Desert Island in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rangers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

Greely walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 25-11, 25-19.

Anabelle Talley paced Greely's offense, picking up 17 kills. Talley got some help from Madison Croteau and her 15 assists. Talley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Mount Desert Island's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Sinclair, who had 14 digs. Sinclair is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Greely's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mount Desert Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Greely wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Messalonskee on the 14th. As for Mount Desert Island, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Brewer on the 14th.
