Shafter had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Sierra Chieftains by a score of 53-43 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Generals, who have now won 14 matches in a row.

Shafter pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.1 points over those games. As for Sierra, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-8.

Looking ahead, Shafter will square off against Liberty at 2:00 p.m. on March 1st. Liberty will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Shafter surely won't give up without a fight. Sierra does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
