Football Recap: Proctor/Maris Academy Comes Up Short

Proctor/Maris Academy fell victim to Pequot Lakes and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Patriots 68-0. While losing is never fun, Proctor/Maris Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Pequot Lakes is ranked 52nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Proctor/Maris Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Pequot Lakes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Proctor/Maris Academy will be playing at home against Hibbing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pequot Lakes, they will venture away from home to square off against Denfeld at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
