Softball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, First Presbyterian Day couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Strong Rock Christian Patriots by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

First Presbyterian Day saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyric Jones, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

First Presbyterian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Strong Rock Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

As of now, neither First Presbyterian Day nor Strong Rock Christian have any future games scheduled.
