Soccer Game Preview: Villa Rica vs. East Paulding

The Villa Rica Wildcats will face off against the East Paulding Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Villa Rica is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lithia Springs on Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, East Paulding's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Kennesaw Mountain by a score of 4-3.

Villa Rica's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for East Paulding, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Villa Rica was able to grind out a solid victory over East Paulding in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, winning 2-0. Will Villa Rica repeat their success, or does East Paulding have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
