Softball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Heritage made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Windsor Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Knights by a score of 12-10 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 back in August.

Kaelynn Sweger was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those triples were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Izabella Sewell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Heritage now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Windsor Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Windsor Academy will both be playing Flint River Academy the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
