Basketball Recap: Middletown Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Middletown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over the Conrad Weiser Scouts on Thursday. Given the Blue Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Scouts are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Conrad Weiser lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Giselle Feliciano, who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Geniva Paul, who had nine points.

Middletown's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points over those games. As for Conrad Weiser, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.
