Basketball Recap: Harvard-Westlake Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Harvard-Westlake can now relate to. They lost to the Rancho Christian Eagles at home by a 60-44 margin on Saturday.

It was another big night for Julia Wilson, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 29 points in addition to seven assists and five boards for Rancho Christian. Wilson's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ebony Taylor-Smith, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Harvard-Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Rancho Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-8 record this season.

Harvard-Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Brentwood School sitting on five straight wins and Rancho Christian on four.
