Soccer Recap: Moreno Valley Takes a Loss

Moreno Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeside Lancers. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Moreno Valley's goal came courtesy of Jessica Menchaca, who's now up to four this season.

Moreno Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lakeside, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Moreno Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Perris on the 9th. Lakeside has also already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Vista del Lago on the 9th.
