Baseball Recap: Southeast Bulloch's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Southeast Bulloch had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Liberty County Panthers a 10-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 13-2 victory last Thursday.

Not much got past Andrew Waters, who gave up just two hits to keep Liberty County off the board. Waters has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rhett Morgan, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Brady Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Southeast Bulloch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Southeast Bulloch's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Liberty County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Southeast Bulloch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty County, they will head out on the road to take on Claxton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
