Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Oak Grove Eagles

Two dominant guards in Nevaeh Lacy and Emilie Ngo are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Santa Teresa Saints will head out on the road to take on the Oak Grove Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Teresa is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.

Santa Teresa scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Prospect by a score of 61-54. That's two games straight that Santa Teresa has won by exactly seven points.

Santa Teresa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lacy led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lacy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dahlia Daboul, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Oak Grove proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 27) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Silver Creek and snuck past 50-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oak Grove.

Ngo was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Oak Grove's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleya Balinton, who scored ten points.

Santa Teresa has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Oak Grove's record is now 12-10.

Santa Teresa couldn't quite finish off Oak Grove in their previous matchup back in January and fell 42-39. Can Santa Teresa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
