Softball Recap: Papillion-Lavista's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Papillion-LaVista fell victim to Lincoln Southwest and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Hawks. The Monarchs were not able to make up for their loss to the Silver Hawks from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Papillion-LaVista moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Lincoln Southwest, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Papillion-LaVista is set to challenge their familiar foe Millard North at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Monarchs 3.1, the Mustangs 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lincoln Southwest will take on rival Kearney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
