After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Newnan was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Morrow Mustangs a 16-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.
CA Moss looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.
At the plate, Riley Gray was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Webb, who earned three RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
