That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Memphis is undefeated when Peacock posts two or more runs, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Patrick Rosenow, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Memphis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Genesee only posted an OBP of .316.

Meanwhile, Sandusky got the win against Unionville-Sebewaing on Wednesday by a conclusive 16-3.

Like Memphis, Sandusky also got a great game from a two-way player: Marvin Kritzman. Kritzman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nathaniel Tovar, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Bryce Kiley was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Memphis' record is now 15-9-1. As for Sandusky, their record now sits at 22-6.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Memphis has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .482. However, it's not like Sandusky struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Memphis might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Sandusky in their previous matchup on Monday. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
