Basketball Game Preview: Sharon Tigers vs. Commodore Perry Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Sharon Tigers will jump right back in to play the Commodore Perry Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Sharon is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight games dating back to last season on Friday. They took a blow against Sharpsville, falling 55-18. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Commodore Perry slipped by Hickory 44-43 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Commodore Perry's win came from a few key players Sharon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bella Saxe, who posted 22 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Eastin Post, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Commodore Perry's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sharon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Sharon against Commodore Perry when the teams last played back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 47-15 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
