Basketball Recap: Littlestown Takes a Loss

Littlestown was the 37-36 winner over York County Tech when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Littlestown Thunderbolts fell just short of the York County Tech Spartans by a score of 48-45 on Friday. The Thunderbolts were up 31-16 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

York County Tech was led to victory by Faith Atwater and Anna Foster. Atwater dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 boards, while Foster went 7 of 13 en route to 19 points and three steals. Atwater has been hot, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last five times she's played.

Littlestown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for York County Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-17.

Littlestown will head out to square off against New Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York County Tech, they will challenge Linden Hall School for Girls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. York County Tech is facing Linden Hall School for Girls at the right time seeing as Linden Hall School for Girls is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
