Soccer Game Preview: Evergreen Valley vs. Silver Creek

The Evergreen Valley Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Silver Creek Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Silver Creek better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Evergreen Valley really get things going. Everything went Evergreen Valley's way against Santa Teresa on Tuesday as Evergreen Valley made off with a 4-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Santa Teresa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Siena Ablao (2), Kiana Rebugio, and Camila Figueroa.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek hadn't done well against Ann Sobrato recently (they were 0-3 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Silver Creek skirted past Ann Sobrato 2-1. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by just one goal.

Silver Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matchups. As for Evergreen Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
