Baseball Recap: Westview Gets the Win

Westview won the last time they faced Eastside and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Blazers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Blake Hostetler and Jaxon Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Hostetler went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Miller went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Miller has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Swanson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Westview's record is now 7-13. As for Eastside, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-14 record.

Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastside, they will challenge Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.14 runs per game on average), something the Blazers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
