Cobden can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against the Agape Christian Knights as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Appleknockers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 19, 2025 (when they won 10-0).

Mason Lyerla made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Howell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. James Eagle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Cobden's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Agape Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
