Softball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest's last matchup with Hillsboro could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Hawks, falling 9-3. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northwest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Eddings, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Hillsboro, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-5.

Looking ahead, Northwest will take on Lafayette at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillsboro, they will be playing at home against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
