Baseball Recap: Yorktown Extends Winning Streak to Three

Yorktown entered their tilt with Washington-Liberty on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Generals, sneaking past 4-2. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.

Yorktown's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Washington-Liberty, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Yorktown will head out to face off against Wakefield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Washington-Liberty, they will face off against Sidwell Friends at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Generals will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Quakers will have lost three straight heading into Wednesday's game.
