Softball Recap: Tupelo Takes a Loss

Tupelo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Caney Cougars. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tupelo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Caney, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Coincidentally, Tupelo and Caney will both be playing Coalgate the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
