Heritage had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They never let the Cherokee Bluff Bears get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Not much got past Bailee Hollis, who gave up just four hits to keep Cherokee Bluff off the board. Hollis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ema Tanner, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Collins Fletcher, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Cherokee Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.
As of now, neither Heritage nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
