Baseball Game Preview: Windham Eagles vs. Massabesic Mustangs

The Windham Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Massabesic Mustangs at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Neither Windham nor Massabesic posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Windham's offense. They came up short against Falmouth on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Navigators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Massabesic suffered their biggest defeat since May 27, 2025 on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to Scarborough.

Massabesic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Marcotte, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Marcotte is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Patrick Jones also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Massabesic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Windham might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Massabesic when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
