Softball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Alamosa Mean Moose, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly ten runs.

Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double was Rodriguez's first of the season. Alexis Rocha was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Alamosa, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will square off against Eagle Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alamosa, they will be playing at home against Pueblo Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
