Mount View took a 32-point loss the last time they faced off against Summers County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Knights had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 16-14. The Golden Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Tug Valley entered their tilt with Wayne on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 25-20 W against the Pioneers.

Mount View's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Tug Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
