Softball Recap: Cedartown Comes Up Short

Cedartown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rockmart, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since October 3, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Cedartown and nudges their season record down to 10-8. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Rockmart, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Coming up, Cedartown will take on Southeast Whitfield County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockmart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coahulla Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
