Soccer Game Preview: Edgewood vs. Workman

The Edgewood Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Workman Lobos at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Edgewood is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Ganesha on Friday. The Lions lost 4-0 to the Giants. The defeat continues a trend for Edgewood in their meetings with Ganesha: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Workman). They blew past Pomona 4-1 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Workman considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Workman, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 2-11-1.

Edgewood got the 'W' in their previous matchup on January 9th against Workman by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
