Softball Recap: Kemper Academy Falls to Meridian Homeschool in First Game of Season

Kemper Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Meridian HomeSchool FLYERS by a score of 10-8 on Thursday.

Peyton Scarbrough made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

The win snapped Meridian HomeSchool's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Coming up, Meridian HomeSchool will take on Lamar Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kemper Academy will be paying especially close attention to the FLYERS' contest: after the FLYERS face off against the Lions, they'll take on Kemper Academy again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
