Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Artesia walked away with it. They beat the Los Alamos Hilltoppers by a goal, winning 2-1. Even though Artesia got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Couper Foster was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

The victory made it two in a row for Artesia and bumps their season record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for Los Alamos, they moved to 13-8-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Artesia has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 5th. Los Alamos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
