Basketball Game Preview: Lower Merion Aces vs. Haverford Fords

Lower Merion is 0-10 against Haverford since January of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Aces will look to defend their home court against the Fords at 2:30 p.m. Lower Merion will be strutting in after a victory while Haverford will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Lower Merion made easy work of Ridley and carried off a 63-42 win. The Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Haverford entered their game against Garnet Valley on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Fords took a hard 45-26 fall against the Jaguars. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 1, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Lower Merion is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Haverford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1.
