Softball Recap: Pierce County Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

There's no place like home for Pierce County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Camden County Wildcats with a sharp 9-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Pierce County pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Camden County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pierce County will square off against South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Camden County, they will venture away from home to challenge Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
