Soccer Recap: Academy of Richmond County Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matches, Academy of Richmond County finally came back down to earth on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the West Laurens Raiders who were credited with the win. The West Laurens Raiders got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers' one. The loss was the Musketeers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Academy of Richmond County fell to 4-1. As for West Laurens, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Richmond County will take on Hephzibah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Laurens, they will challenge Academy for Classical Education at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
