Soccer Game Preview: Fairfield vs. Johnson

The Fairfield Falcons will challenge the Johnson Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fairfield is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Burbank just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Falcons haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, neither Johnson nor Foothill could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Fairfield's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. Johnson's draw gives them a new season record of 3-10-2.

Fairfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Johnson when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 6-5. Will Fairfield repeat their success, or does Johnson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
