Volleyball Game Preview: Shepard Astros vs. Oak Lawn Spartans

The Shepard Astros will take on the Oak Lawn Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shepard is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Shepard is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since September 9th on Thursday. They skirted past Stagg 2-1.

Shepard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Oak Lawn beat Bloom 2-0 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Blazing Trojan: they've now won four in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Oak Lawn was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Shepard's record now sits at 25-9. As for Oak Lawn, their record is now 22-9.

Shepard beat Oak Lawn 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Astros since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
