Baseball Game Preview: Northview Titans vs. Riverwood Raiders

The Northview Titans will challenge the Riverwood Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Northview nor Riverwood posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Monday, Northview didn't have quite enough to beat Alpharetta and fell 3-2. The Titans have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Logan Brown was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, Northview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ronit Shahani, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Bryant Gamble also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Riverwood suffered their biggest loss since March 27, 2024 on Monday. They lost 14-2 to Lovett.

Riverwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Northview beat Riverwood 6-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Northview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
