After a string of four wins, the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 45-32 to Sun Valley Magnet. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sun Valley Magnet apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Despite the defeat, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences had strong showings from Crystal Pasaye, who scored 14 points, and Lara Ledesma, who scored 11 points. The contest was Pasaye's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences' loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Sun Valley Magnet, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences' road trip will continue as they head out to face Van Nuys at 4:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Sun Valley Magnet, they will square off against East Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. East Valley's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Sun Valley Magnet's offense will have their work cut out for Sun Valley Magnet.
