Baseball Game Preview: Young Americans Christian Eagles vs. Scholars Guild Academy Spartans

The Young Americans Christian Eagles will take on the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Young Americans Christian after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 9-2 to Westminster Christian Academy. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Young Americans Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Allen, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Alex Johnston also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Scholars Guild Academy came up short against Horizon Christian Academy on Friday, falling 9-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Rumble made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Young Americans Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Scholars Guild Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
