Baseball Recap: Middlebury Comes Up Short

If Middlebury was feeling good fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Vergennes on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Milton Yellowjackets by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Middlebury's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Milton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Coming up, Middlebury will welcome Mt. Abraham at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Milton, they will square off against Missisquoi Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
