Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Locust Grove). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Catoosa Indians on Thursday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Locust Grove, bringing their record up to 13-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Catoosa, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-18.

Locust Grove has already played their next matchup, an 8-7 loss against Sequoyah on the 18th. As for Catoosa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 defeat against Chouteau-Mazie on the 18th.
