Softball Recap: Centennial Has No Trouble Against Lovett + How To Watch

Centennial came out on top against Lovett on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Knights were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Lions.

The result came thanks to Sophia De Oliveira's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Katherine Sotola, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaida Jsames, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-18 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Lovett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centennial beat the Lions by a score of 14-2 later that day.
