Softball Recap: Echols County Wildcats vs. Lanier County Bulldogs
After flying high against Brooks County on Thursday, Echols County came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Lanier County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on September 4th.
Echols County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Lanier County, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.
