Softball Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gothenburg on Tuesday, Polk County came back down to earth. The Slammers came up short against the St. Cecilia Bluehawks on Thursday, falling 13-0. If the Slammers were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Bluehawks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Cecilia, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Coincidentally, Polk County and St. Cecilia will both be playing Fillmore Central the next time they take the field. The Slammers will head out to face the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bluehawks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
