Crawford County dropped their record down to 19-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilcox County Patriots. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

As for Wilcox County, they moved to 18-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the contest before.

For Wilcox County's part, Owen Carmichael looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Carmichael has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Deacon Harper, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bo Bloodworth, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coming up, Crawford County will face off against Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
