Soccer Game Preview: Van Nuys vs. Sylmar

The Van Nuys Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Sylmar Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Van Nuys fell victim to Bishop Alemany and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 9-0 to the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Sylmar also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Kennedy on Friday, falling 5-0. That's two games in a row now that Sylmar have lost by exactly five goals.

Van Nuys' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Sylmar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
