Basketball Recap: Santa Ana Valley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jaslene Rodriguez and Jakeline Campos

It was a Battle of the Birds when Santa Ana Valley duked it out withCalvary Chapel on Thursday. The Santa Ana Valley Falcons took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Chapel Eagles. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 15-3 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Santa Ana Valley had strong showings from Jakeline Campos, who posted 15 points, and Jaslene Rodriguez, who put up ten points. Those 15 points gave Campos a new career-high.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Calvary Chapel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Santa Ana Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-44 victory against Rancho Alamitos on the 28th. As for Calvary Chapel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-32 win against Pacifica on the 26th.
