Baseball Recap: Menasha Takes a Loss

Menasha fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against West De Pere on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Phantoms by a score of 9-8. The Bluejays' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Menasha's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for West De Pere, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menasha will head out to square off against New London at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West De Pere, they will venture away from home to challenge De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Phantoms 3.8, the Redbirds 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
