Recap: Hoover Tornados vs. Arcadia Apaches
The Hoover Tornados's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 68-13 loss at the hands of Arcadia. Hoover lost against Arcadia in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-14 score last time.
Despite the loss, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: Marjorie McClain scored 6 points. McClain continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Hoover will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasadena at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pasadena presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hoover in California (Pasadena is ranked 463rd, while Hoover is ranked 1142nd). As for Arcadia, they will head out on the road to face off against Burroughs at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Burroughs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
