Soccer Game Preview: Hinkley vs. Vista PEAK Prep

For the first time this season, Hinkley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Vista PEAK Prep Bison at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hinkley is headed into Thursday's contest following a draw, the team's first since September 9. They and Thomas Jefferson finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The outcome might've been different if Alan Quintana hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Hinkley's goal came courtesy of Abraham Gutierrez Corona, which was the first he's scored this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Vista PEAK Prep has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Regis Groff on Tuesday.

With that draw, Hinkley's record moves to 1-5-3. As for Vista PEAK Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1.
